The golf course is built on more than 25 hectares of land with flat terrain. However, there were problems with the course design as there were not enough trees and the land was exposed too much wind. A professional golf course architect was called upon to redesign the course. More trees were planted along the entrance, and this added to the beautification of the course.
At first, the club started as a nine-hole course; but, it was then permitted for 27 holes course which was opened for play in 1990. This beautiful 27 golf course is well manicured and is suitable for all skill levels. In fact, we are the only club in the area that has a course layout with 27 holes.
A clubhouse facility was established later on. Over the years, Chiang Mai Golf Resort has been providing an excellent golf experience for its members. Besides that, the club prides in the number of tournaments it has hosted. The course has also been ranked among the best 20 Golf Courses in China by national golf magazines
